The starting grid for the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans is official. With the qualifying sessions over, the overall pole position goes to the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid (Alonso/Buemi/Nakajima) on 3:15.377, with the Idec Sport Oreca 07 leading the way in LMP2, the #91 Porsche GT Team in LM GTE Pro and the #88 Dempsey-Proton Racing in LM GTE Am.
Scuderia Ferrari won the Canadian GP to end a 14 year drought at this track. Sebastian Vettel is now back in the lead of the championship. Valtteri Bottas finished the Canadian Grand Prix in P2 – his fourth podium finish at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and fourth second place of the 2018 season.Third and fourth Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo represents a great Red Bull result today. Verstappen drove a very strong race finishing within a tenth of a second from Valtteri Bottas.

Lewis Hamilton took his 64th career victory today – his third at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and second of the 2018 season. Valtteri Bottas finished today’s Spanish Grand Prix in P2 – completing a 1-2 for the team with his 25th career podium.

Sensational victory in China on Sunday for Daniel Ricciardo , was the sixth of his career. In all of them, he has never started the race higher than fourth.
Sebastian Vettel won with Scuderia Ferrari, but at the moment, the thoughts of everyone in the team are with the mechanic who was injured during Kimi Raikkonen’s pit stop, the Finn stopping and retiring immediately after in pit lane. As for the Grand Prix, it was closely contested right down to the final corner and the win came courtesy of a well thought out strategy and the abilities of the driver who managed to make a set of Soft tyres last 38 laps no less, on a track that is one of the hardest on tyres.
The first team group set off for Australia last Friday and the last members will arrive mid-week. Such a long trip, 16,000 kilometres and a whole day travelling, takes a bit of planning, especially as it’s the first of the season. In fact, the team is actually “operational” at the track as from Wednesday.
