Hamilton faultless Singapore victory

Lewis Hamilton wins the Singapore race and  chequered flag fell on Hamilton’s 69th career win, the British driver earned himself 25 points to Vettel’s 15, the gap between them in the drivers’ standings now up to a full 40 points.

The starting grid for the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans is official. With the qualifying sessions over, the overall pole position goes to the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid (Alonso/Buemi/Nakajima) on 3:15.377, with the Idec Sport Oreca 07 leading the way in LMP2, the #91 Porsche GT Team in LM GTE Pro and the #88 Dempsey-Proton Racing in LM GTE Am.

Sebastian Vettel holds on to beat Bottas in Bahrain Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel won with Scuderia Ferrari, but at the moment, the thoughts of everyone in the team are with the mechanic who was injured during Kimi Raikkonen’s pit stop, the Finn stopping and retiring immediately after in pit lane. As for the Grand Prix, it was closely contested right down to the final corner and the win came courtesy of a well thought out strategy and the abilities of the driver who managed to make a set of Soft tyres last 38 laps no less, on a track that is one of the hardest on tyres.

Fernando Alonso joins ROLEX 24 At Daytona

United Autosports has confirmed that Fernando Alonso will race for the team in the 2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
 
The double Formula One World Champion and multiple F1 race winner will race the team’s Ligier JS P217 alongside previously announced drivers Phil Hanson and Lando Norris. Lando is currently a McLaren development driver and this year raced in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship, winning the championship with two races to spare. This championship win made him the youngest ever European F3 champion. Phil Hanson, who is the reigning Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 Champion, already has experience of the Ligier JS P217, having raced in the European Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2017. At 17 years old, Phil became the youngest driver to finish in the top 10 at the Le Mans 24 Hours.
